BODY
RULES:
1. The body must
completely cover the chassis when viewed from above except
for legal stock openings (ie. windows).
2. Each body must have a front and rear windshield of original
glass (NO lexan, etc). Side glass is optional. Windows may
be glued into window openings and must substantially fill
the window opening. The body must be original Aurora or
hard body reproduction intended for use on the A/FX, Magnatraction
or X-Traction chassis.
3. The body may be lightened but not weighted.
4. Fender wells may be cut for tire clearance provided Body
Rule #1 is not violated.
5. If you are unsure if a body is legal, check with the
tech committee prior to the race.
CHASSIS
RULES: Stock
A/FX, Magnatraction or X-Traction chassis only. The following
modifications may be made:
1. Stock front and rear tires may be replaced with any readily
available silicone replacement (Weird Jacks, SuperTires,
Tom Heister, Wizzard PVT's etc...) or o-ring. Stock Aurora
AFX/Magnatraction or X-Traction front rims must be used
however stock Aurora or Johnny Lightning rear rims may be
replaced with stock Tomy Turbo or stock Tyco single flange
units.
2. Cutting, grinding, or drilling of the chassis is not
allowed.
3. Solder or glue is allowed to attach gears to shafts.
4. Gear plate may be stock A/FX, MagnaTraction or X-Traction
and may not be cut in anyway.
5. Gears may be polished to provide a smooth mesh but not
be drilled, tapered or altered in any other way.
6. Flag style guide pin may be replaced with TOMY style
metal guide pin and may be shortened to desired length.
7. Rear end gears must be stock.
8. Armatures must be stock Aurora A/FX, MagnaTraction (red
or green laminations) or stock tri-lam X-Traction. NO balancing,
rewinds, or dewinds permitted.
9. Magnets must be stock A/FX, Magnatraction or X-Traction.
No polymer or Super II motor magnets allowed. Magnets may
be shimmed using non-ferrous material, but may not be cut
or polished in any way.
10. Stock Aurora, Johnny Lightning or stock replacement
brushes only.
11. Pickup shoes must be stock A/FX, Magnatraction, Johnny
Lightning or stock replacement. No braid.
12. Any other modifications will be considered illegal unless
cleared by the Tech committee
